FAH 609 Folks/FMAH Folks:

It is possible to save the Buno 124715 from strip paint removal located at the tail under the Horizontal stab?? Some light sandpaper can be used on these 2 areas L/R side of tail. Same with the NP latters and numbers on the upper/lower side of the wings.

Keep the good work going!!!

I agree, it would be great to see evidence of the Corsair's last US markings as part of VC-3 Squadron, just to know what number she was.

Here's a shot that shows what BuNo.124715 old US Navy markings should look like under the various coats of Honduran blue.

F4U-5NL Buno 124692/XFAH 607 Folks:

Good day!!

With the due apologies:

In ref to the other intrinsic details provided on an earlier post in Ref to the Buno 124692 center fuselage having a cockpit name written on the R/hand side of the cabin.

The name now clearly reads: Lt. Jg. RCE. Not Roe at previously reported.

We'll keep digging!!
