That formation flight was great fun -- first time we've had 5 fighters away at a show. And I had to really scoot -- I was last-up for an aero routine, and had to get out from that and joined-up in that 5-plane as they were running in for the first pass, the fighters being sandwiched between the Lancaster and the B-25. (Interesting re-join. It's nice to fly something with "snap".)

Then on the flight home Sunday evening the Spitfire joined me (we both decided to re-fuel in Peterborough --the other 3 have longer legs) and I had the delightful view of a Mark XVI over my shoulder as we buzzed along the S. Ontario countryside on a perfect summer evening.

Gotta get a helmet cam...

Dave

Dave
Flew home directly from my routine , parked the Fleet and went to my inlaws for a Fathers Day BBQ
Wasn't there a half hour when you and Mike came directly over us.
Nothing better than a fun flying w/end ending with a cold beer in hand while getting a flypast by a :spit and a P40 :drink3:
Thanks

It was so great to see a Warbird show back at Hamilton. Brought back a lot of memories. For a first show in a long time they did a good job and had lots of great aircraft on the ramp. Can’t wait for 2012.

This is a link to some of the images I took http://www.airic.ca/html/2011hamilton.html

Cheers,

Eric

I wish I could have been there, but things didn't work out for me being part of the VWoC team, and there was no provision for fly in visitors. The VWoC hangar was a pretty quiet and empty place that weekend.
