Two F/A-18's arrived at noon. Understood from Jim that there might be a flyby this afternoon with the 51. Time unknown.

The F/A-18's were just there for a short visit. They left after about an hour or so of visiting there with the crew. The commander heard an interview on the radio this morning, and sent two of the aircraft down.

Thanks for the clarification Vlado. I fly Learjet 25's and 35's almost everyday now for a living and it has come up both with my chief pilot and the examiner when I added the LR-Jet type why I had those restrictions on the T-28 and P-51. They asked me about my color vision, ever flunked a IFR checkride, etc.
It would be nice to find a TF-51 and go do the required approaches to have the restriction removed.

Yes, those restrictions are very ridiculous. (Don't get me started!!)
For your P-51, call Stallion 51 to see what they can do, if they can fix it quickly. They have an examiner on staff - Lee Lauderback.

Jim H, we departed Love this morning around 0630 for San Diego and dropped off the Hawker in Tyler around 1730 for some repairs to see you all flying around Tyler. Not bad, to see you all in the early am in Dallas and just before sunset in Tyler. Hope your days there are as nice as today, Fly Safe......
