I don't get the point of your last message... Since this is still in litigation, I think we aught to keep the chatter to a minimum.

My point was that the CAF had secretly bargained the trade for the airworthy P-38 without informing the P-82 Squadron or the General Membership. So basically, the P-82 Squadron was still putting effort into locating parts, expanding membership and working on the P-82 with no clue that they were about to have the aircaft taken away and swapped for other aircraft.
There used to be a day when the membership would vote on issues and at the very least Headquarters would inform the Squadrons or units involved. Not just yank it out from under their feet with no warning.
