I believe Disney artists were scattered around the world in the Army.
IIRC at least one was in the AAF and did noseart at bases in the UK.
Was Baby Duck's noseart done by a Disney Artist?

Plus, you could stay as long as you wanted and watch them over and over again and enjoy air conditioning.
