Not a warbird, but another Electra has made the trek North:

From the data I just found on the net, this aircraft (serial# 1053) was issued an import certificate as of 20 Jan 2012. It shows the previous owner as Rockland Aerospace (since 2009) and you guessed it, it's going to Airspray in Red Deer, Alberta as another air tanker.

I figured that she was going to Air Spray. When they put the engines back on the prop spinners were yellow.

N 5530E
TI-ALK
N 429 MA ZANTOP

We just passed the loss of AMERICAN AIRLINES L-188, N 6101A, F/S New York, s/n 1015 on 2/3/59 in the East River @ La Guardia

I have pictures of N346HA when it was flying under the name TMC Airlines. N343HA was doing the same at the time. Unfortunately, TMC folded up shop in 2005 and the birds have sat idle since. Hopefully all of them will be able to find new life up in the Frozen North.

L-188 Folks/Tanker 338:

Good day!

It's good to hear of another Zantop L-188 that came into the AirSpray family recently!!

We hope to see some pictures of this sample also. According to the historical FAA Records it was at one time S. of the border. Costa Rica/Colombia to be exact. We'll contact the fellow CR aviation colleagues for some poss pictures of previous schemes.

p.s Any other news/pics of L-188 C-GNPB (FAH 555) we'll be also welcome!!
Tks in advance!
