Hi All,

I am researching a Pilot who was in the 382nd Fighter Sqn 363rd Fighter Group who was killed in the UK during a routine training flight.

I am after anyone who knew him, or any photos of him or his aircraft P51B Mustang 43-12477

I have one small group photo i found on the net of the Sqn of which the pilot Paul A Pedersen is in.
Bottom right of the photo.

the pilot had flown as element leader , accompanied by Lt Robert B McGee on a flight to Keevil . however they got lost in fog, McGee decided to turn 180 and fly out of the cloud/Fog
but 2nd Lt Pedersen decided to go straight and try and fly below the cloud, which resulted in a crash into a hillside.

2nd Lt Pederson is Buried in the American cemetery at Cambridge

I have the crash report etc for the aircraft, but to find a clear photo of him, or his aircraft would be so very much appreciated .
Or even if anyone knows what (if Any) callsign/ Nose art name tht was on the side of Pedersens P51 I would love to find out.
Anyone who could help, I would very much appreciate it.

I also have a witness statement from the operations Officer 2nd Lt James N Brink who visited the crash site the day after .

once again, many thanks in advance
Kind regards
Chris C.
