For (about) the same level of performance you could buy an A26 AND take 9 of your friends along for a ride... They don't call em "10-seat Mustangs" for nothing.... & you get to pass B25's in flight like they were still chained to the ramp... ;)

Yeah, a $200k A-26 is going to need spares, and ground support equipment and a bunch of dedicated people to work on it. Why? A $200k A-26 is going to be JUNK

Rich.... A friend has a theory that a P-51 currently costs $2mil.... If its a $1 Mil to buy it needs another $1mil in work...... Any comments on that in your experience?

1.3 - 1.4 should get you a flyer.
Some are asking 1.7 - 1.8 for flyers that are in decent condition.
2 is on the high end of the market. It better be a great one for 2 and above.
2.7 - 3.5 is the range of TFs. Don't know why they want so much for them. Probably 200K - 250K, maybe 300K in extra expenses to build but they charge you an extra Mil to buy in.
Prices seem to be coming down some. !.8 listed ones have been for sale for a long time. Another at 2.1 has been for sale well over a year.
However, the latest TF is reported to be around 3.5.
Keep feeding the piggy banks folks.

Two years ago Courtesy Aircraft Sales listed 2 aircraft from Scandinavian Historic Flight. Their P-51D "Old Crow" for 1.3 mil. and their A-26 "Sugarland Express" for 250 grand. They were sold to and are flying at Vasteras Flying Museum,Sweden. I got to their website, can't read Swedish but the videos I can understand and the planes fly,at least the Mustang does. The A-26 was flying when it was sold. It looked to be a really sharp looking Invader. On the outside it was all military and the interior was for executive transport. Your "10 passenger Mustang."

Flying A-26 have sold for arround 200K recently. Junk A-26's are sub 6 figures. Courtesy sold a non flyer with a hanger full of spares for $90K last year.
