Thank you Dan. Appreciated.

...some of us get a little tired of hearing from "the experts". I thought (and still think) Dave Lindauer made a great comment.

The beating up of 'the experts' (rarely do real experts call themselves that - walking the talk is the test, and we know who's who with that on WIX, I suggest) is mostly pointless posturing against a straw man. I generally don't bother posting about how things should be and just prefer to deal with how they are. Don't mean I like it. I respect the views put forward and the chorus of support (FWIW, I also respect anyone's actual visions and achievement realised - of any vintage aviation) but the specific data here is being missed or overlooked.

Taking a couple of points, I'd like to add that Enemy Ace's comments and impressions are valued in his assessment of the genuine Fw 190 at Hendon and one of the Flug Werke machines - thanks for the input, and sorry for being a bit blunt earlier.

Lastly, Chuck's capable of speaking for himself, but again those making the scattergun attacks on experts and thinking to include Chuck in this might like to consider Chuck's firsthand experience with warbird operations and 'premier' examples of both Focke Wulf restorations and Flug Werke builds - also to read his explanation for his comments, there's experience and data there, and not generic opinion.

Regards,
