15.5 hrs HNL -Tarawa,DC-3 N14MA in the middle of a trans pac ferry trip to Bang-kok,it was an all nighter because Tarawa back in '91 sported a daylight only crushed coral strip.Left HNL 'round 2130,landed at Tarawa round mid day. We were GPS,and Omega equipped. No alternates after we passed Johnston Island ,during the first 1/3 of the sortie. We were carrying 1600 gallons of gas, roughly 17 hours endurance.God's grace.
