I love it when the copper theives cut a live 14,000 volt line with a good ground just so they can "sense" what they are getting.

There was a video out not too long ago, of Military Ops on a desert target range. The exercise was stopped a couple of times because scrappers were entering the range illegally to scavange spent brass and other scrap. Interupting the excercise and risking their lives. The report said most of the time when they're caught they are illegal immigrants.

I say don't hold up good live fire training for idiots- those who get killed due to their own greed and stupidity DESERVED IT! Let them absorb fire, and see what happens next time. Make sure obits appear in local- and cross border- papers, to include the words "Killed by own stupidity while breaking the law on a live firing range"

One less is one better.

I'd still get the word out to any and l scrap yards within 300 miles- as well as check them out personally. That much aluminum has got to be worth something as scrap.

Yeup.

Metal is GOLD these days. They see that big hunk of Al on a trailer ready to go...

How much is that in wing in Al? $2000? $3000? Have to make a real incentive. I am sorry to say it is a real battle.

If all those traffic cameras could not help, or aerial search, it may be too late. :(

I've been off line a lot lately and just now spotted this. Pooner, I don't drink but I'm sure someone else here will accept being delegated to tip a cold one to you.
They picked the wrong bunch to mess with when the screwed with WIX!
Around the Houston region, the metal theft stories and stupid people stories are much the same as what is posted here.
Kudzu, I'm in the 12 ga. camp with you. I like to get up close and personal and there is no sound on earth that sounds like a pump shotgun action in the dark of night. A very effective audible deterrent.

That's a beautiful dog. If he's friendly to people you introduce him to, I'd like to scratch his big furry ears and hug on him.

Dont mess with WIX
