Now on the way to the UK. Rumour has it that the Kindsvoter one may also be following it.

I hope they painted the Thunderbolt. It was still unfinished last July at the Arlington Airshow.

WOW! WOW! WOW! ... now those two are great!!!! ... why does it seem these aircraft are a little hidden from the mainstream warbird world. I never knew about these two aircraft until now. Does the F6F fly? ... Now my list of P-47 flyers has just added one more. (I count 12 total flyers as of now) can't wait to see what paint scheme this P-47 will be. ... Time for bed now .... :D :D :D

The label (thanks Spooky) says 'no'.

Speaking of Thunderbolts, what's the status of the one that was raised out of the Austrian lake?

I don't know there are plans to paint the P-47. It has been restored to factory new condition with all of the markings it would have had rolling off the assembaly line. It actually is a very beautiful restoration, though one has to get up close to really apreciate it.

Photos do it no justice.

The aircraft might recieve a paint job one day, but it will most likely be markings it actually had at one time. I think the plan is to do the B-25 in much the same fasion.

So does that mean that it has the national insignia & anti-glare panel applied, as it would on the assy' line? These don't show in Spooky's pics.

Depends on where you start reading, the beginning says "flyable" the end says "not airworthy" ... (thanks Spooky)

I thought I had heard it would be painted one day but no clue in what scheme.

Slightly off-topic, but I love that tug! We had a simelar one in use at Rotterdam Airport well into the '90ties. I forgot the name of the manufacturer. What was it?

Was the P-47 done by WestPac? Looks like it was rolled out of the factory 10 minutes ago, except nicer.
