You sure about that Jack?

That one looks pretty good.

I tried to get some shots of this one through the glass, but my camera wouldn't focus past the grime. from what I could see the inside looks pretty much stripped. Of course I couldn't see the cockpit and I wouldn't even think of trying to get in.

Where is the one you are working on? I'm going to be driving back up from CA next week. Maybe I can stop in on the way to Oly?

Curtis and Phil, here's the info I got directly from Ken McBride on the B-25:

Quote:
The plan is to base the B25 at south county eventually, but unfortunately, it needs major surgery and must come apart. I'm buried with business/work for the time being, and have very little time to spend on it now. Once we have the time, and facility ready, we will then contact people that have expressed an interest in helping to restore it. For the time being, I'm just collecting names and no.s of guys interested in working on it.

I bought it a few months back from Talichet's group. The airplane had been sitting at Fairfield County airport in Ohio for the past 5 years. Myself and 5 other guys spent 8 days changing carburetors, fuel lines, oil lines, linkage, etc - to make it ferriable. Tom Reilly and myself flew it out here to South County a couple weeks ago. It flies great - runs good - and almost everything works, but it has corrosion in the wing sections above the wheel wells and will need major work.

Thanks for the info Roger, I just hope the corrosion doesn't get any worse by leaving her outside :? But maybe they will spray something in the wing sections or at least cover them but then again its usually the corrosion you don't find at first that causes the most problems
I hope she flies again, she like the rest of them deserves it.

Good luck, Phil

Following conversations with him, sounded as if the plane would be disassembled within the next six months or so.

Does anybody know where this TBM is now?

Was sold to Gary Applebaum around 1999 and he flew it to airshows and then was sold to Gerry Yagen / Fighter Factory around 2001.

See: http://www.warbirdregistry.org/avengerregistry/avenger-53454.html

I think I've got some stick time in that B-25. I believe it had a solid nose at one time and had the name "I see no problem" on the nose. It was owned by two North Central airline pilots in the 1970s and used by them to fly in CAF airshows. It has a repair on one of the nose cowlings about 8-12 inches square towards the bottom. It was sold to Tallechet and parked in front of one of his resturants????
