This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

From a volunteer standpoint, this was amazing! Compared to past years there was so much excitement, everyone seemed excited/happy. There was so much more flying, a museum arrival every 15 min - 40 min. It was a membership drive, yes, but through the membership drive came flights! I was involved in a discussion with a couple of people from upstairs and admissions on saturday were apparently twice what they were last year. I was supposed to be there doing linecrew today but overnight I got some form of stomach flu and I need to be within running distance of a suitable facility. Just fyi, the Spitfire and P-51 are leaving today (sunday) The T-28 had left but turned back due to possible mech. failure, we even got an impromptu flyover by a 727 that had to go around as the T-28 turned back. The Corsair will be at the museum for the rest of the week. I'll post some of my pictures when I feel better.

Hey Greg, sorry to hear about your illness. Sounds like the same thing I had last week that kept me from the Russell show. I left just as Bruce was firing up the T-28 but a buddy of mine was at the end of the runway and got a good shot of his emergency landing with the 727 veering off to avoid him.
Let the powers that be know I was very happy with the event and it looks like a lot of the excitement is back, not just for the visitors but also for the pilots who got in some good flight time. We all hope to see the CWH aircraft visiting more events around Ontario this summer. It helps get the word out about the museum.
Cheers,
Eric
