Hey Bill I did see a few nice non-diesels. I went over to see the Seafire and started to say hello but you were over there talking to the ground crew about the different size slipper tanks and what route they took to Oshkosh. YOur eyes were glazed over and you were having a deeply religious experience at the front of the Seafire. I don't know Spitfires that well, but it looked perfect in every detail.
The "real " zero was amazing but was almost too perfect. the other two real Zeros I saw a while back, one at Chino and the other at the San Diego Air Museum both had thousands of little dents and impresions on the thin aluminum. I couldn't help comparing the Blayd Zero to the Tischler F3F's.
I missed most of the good stuff as we left early but the DC-2 was awesome. First one I've ever seen and it's almost as big as the -3. It has bigger trim tabs than the DC-3 and they actually stick out past the trailing edge of the wing. Made me wonder how the old bird flies, especially on one engine. It has a few scab patches on the right wing and I wondered what their story was. All the DC-3's were great , not a bad one in the bunch.

Thanks. Yours are great! Just didn't have the time or a working computer to get mine up sooner. Now to work on Abbotsford and revisit McChord and Arlington!

I always think my pics look good until I see Al's. Al was kind enough to loan me a tripod for many of my night shots, and is always helpful with tips and suggestions rather than keeping the good shots for himself. He is a class act.

If you ask me, both Spooky and Garbs are pretty good about producing photos of OSH that are well worth waiting for. I still clearly remember the startling quality of both their work from OSH '09, and this year was no disappointment. A great big thank you to all who shoot pics and post 'em here!
