In LAX on Sunday. Hard to get a perspective until you look at the full size van under the tail.

A Marine Corps F-18 heading very slowly up the Hudson from lower Manhattan. Then at about 14th Street, he raised his flaps, punched the afterburner and went nearly vertical.

Very nice!!!!

Must be practicing for Fleet Week!!!!

Saw a B-52 over Fairfax, Virginia heading towards Dulles Airport yesterday. It was pretty low down. Must have been leaving the JSOH at Andrews, but surprised it hadn't climbe for altitude by the time it reached us. Any ideas anyone?

Cheers,
Richard

A Grumman SA-16 /HU-16 Albatross was spotted directly over my home flying on a SE course. Appeared to possibly be headed toward the Watsonville Airport ( about 30 miles way). The annual Watsonville airshow is scheduled for Memorial weekend..starting 22 May.

2 F-18s and 2 V-22's up the Hudson as part of 'Fleet Week' here in NYC. Now that aircraft does not look like she was meant to fly forward.., up maybe?.., but forward?

Yesterday, I saw a B-2 doing touch and go's at Dobbins ARB near Atlanta...

I'm always surprised at how loud the B-2 is for a non-AB equipped aircraft.

A P-2 heading east over El Paso. Love the sound of round engines!
