wow... I'm shocked. The Inspector educated me on several safety topics and gave me some great words of wisdom over the past few years. 262, Very sorry for the loss of your dad.

I am so very sad to hear this. He always cracked me up. He knew his stuff and through his writing reminded me of my friend Clair. We traded PM's and just missed eachother when Zack and Myself were out there. We are better folks for having known him.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Your dad was a real interesting guy to chat with and bounce ideas off of, even just on a web board like this. He'll be sorely missed around here. I really would have enjoyed meeting him in person.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Such a major loss for so many. :(

Condolences to the family, and ... thank you, Bill, for being you.

What I admired about Inspector's posts was the feeling that he'd been there and done that. He was speaking from experience, and personal knowledge. He had a lifetime of stored aviation wisdom, and we were privileged to gain access to a bit of it.

He contributed often to my Fairchild thread, always with good information, and with humour and enthusiasm -- as he did all over this site.

I'll miss him, and I wish I'd been able to meet him in person.

Blue Skies, Bill.

Dave

Some people tell stories about what others do, that's information.
Others go out, actually do them and tell stories, that's wisdom.

I learned allot from your wisdom Inspector, Blue Skies.

I too am sorry for your loss. I'll echo what Taigh and others have said, there was always knowledge and experience behind his posts. It's amazing how many people you can reach on a forum like this, and he probably never realized the number that enjoyed what he shared.

Man I loved reading his posts. Numerous PM's exchanged over the years. I actually didn't believe this topic line. I thought who's messing with the Inspector now.

He will be missed but blessed in how much information and knowledge he shared and therefore preserved by passing it on to all of us. Kind of like a reverse pyramid scheme. Use it wisely, Young Skywalkers. :drink3:

so sorry for your loss, and it's our loss too here. I always loved his posts and his insight and knowledge. My dad started his career as an inspector at Boeing before becoming a flight engineer, so I always had an extra affinity for the 'inspector.'
