A big thank you to Jeff, Tom, and all the photo staff at TOM this year. It was a very enjoyable, and hot, day on the ramp. I look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
Thanks,
Rick

You burned me Austin. As part of my photo tour package duties I will reach out and up for the shorter folks on the tour who cannot get the shot. I won't say who's camera I was shooting with at the time but you can see mine on the step of the tow motor.
Cheers,
Jeff

[quote="mrhenniger"]Will someone please thank the P-47 pilots for me for that perfect formation photo pass on Saturday. They did an excellent job on that one. Seriously. Most formations have one plane hidden behind another. This team had them spaced perfectly spaced.

You're welcome.. Thanks for the cool photos.

I like the battle scenes Ryan. Do you have any of the Dodge 1/2 ton open cab weapons carrier? I drove it for a couple of the battles............John

Ryan, In your first shot in the background it looks like a pair of landing gear sticking up. What is that?

They had a "crashed" Beech 18 and an overturned 1 1/2 ton Chevy on the battlefield for realism. One of the German Hetzers tried to crush the Beech but got pretty tangled up in the mess. I'll post some pics for you later.......John

Nice to see the battle return to the bean field. Didn't look as good on the main flight line.

Battle was on the main flightline. Beans growing there this year.
There were some dirt berms set up for defensive positions and after the last battle a thoughtless dimwit halftrack driver thought it necessary to drive his vehicle over the berms. The ensuing wind driven dirt cloud rained down on the spectators. I know the crowd didn't appreciate it . As a military vehicle enthusiast please , please don't stereotype us with that a-hole..............Thanks, John
