This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

AT-9 Jeep, Martin Mauler, AND a Curtiss Owl.
That is all.

Currently there are no O-52's flying. There are one or two that have flown sometime in the last 20 years or so, but are out of annual.
BTW, there was an O-52 project that was offered at Courtesy recently in the last few years. I don't know if it sold or what happened to it, though.
Since you're discussing oddball types, why not an O-47 as well? There are NONE flying now, but there is one for sale in Kansas that could be restored into flying condition relatively easy.

That thing has been worked on for the last 15 years or so. It does have a looooong ways to go, maybe 10 years if we're lucky.

Figured I'd add the sleek swift Martin 167 Maryland to the mix. We're also sadly lacking in
early helicopters...Sikorsky R-4 and R-5 would be nice...

Short Stirling !!

I'd like to see a Harvard Mk I (rag & tube) as well as the R-1820 powered NA-44 'Super Harvard' aka 'The Jeep'.
The Fairey Battle is also high on the list and I'll second the suggestions for the Stirling, Defiant, B-24D and early B-17s.

Seriously, a flying Swoose, big time. This planet needs an early B-17, and the earlier the better.

My question is, couldnt you take G model centersection (Wings, nacells, engines, fuselage, etc.) and essentially backdate it to resemble an early C/D center section? Kind of like what MARC's Movie Memphis Belle is. Then all you have to produce is a new nose / cockpit section and rear fuselage / tail section. Easy...

It would serve no purpose without a Me-321 in tow... May as well build one of those too while you're at it.

Boeing 314 Clipper. Just imagine how cool that would be to taxi up to the seaplane base at Oshkosh!
