Thank you all for the nice comments. I wish it were mine but it's not. It took almost 6 years to get it done and if I were to do it for me just like this it would take 15 years (since I do this full time for other people)

Great work! Beautiful aircraft! Did you all go with the period radio setup? If so, I'd love to see pictures :D

BDK, Banaire's got some BT stuff, but no where near comparable to what Lance has for T-6s.

Hi Taylor
We do have the old radios in it - I will post more photos in the next week of the cockpits. You bringing the L-5 back to Oshkosh??

Mark,

Is this your bird or was this a project for a customer? It is absolutely fantastic! What's next? If this were to be put on the market, what would the requested price be?

My congrats and best to you and your Pop! 8)

Hi Scott
We have an SNJ next to get the same treatment. I take it your Dad flew the BT's? and where?

Mark,

Dad flew the BT's in Waco TX in 43. He was in the 468th Training Squadron.

Looks Great!!!! I love the earlier radio sets and especially the setup in the BT. It seems like the entire right side of the cockpit is a wall of tube filled greatness... Thanks for sharing! :D :!:

Mark, the timing is sure right as he graduated class 43K which is December of 43. So his basic was during October and November. I have a bunch of Dad's most prized stuff coming to me shortly from his second wife.

I can only hope that some of his logs are in that collection. I will keep everyone advised of what I receive. Man, you did a fabulous job!

I have friend that collects extinguishers...I have seen a few sort of like this in his stuff...I'll ask him...

What size is the one you need? L x OD?

Found a few extinguishers on line...
