So guys and gals, what night should WIXFest 5 (or is it 4? :drinkers: ) take place? We've hosted the gathering on Thursday evening the last few years - should we stick with that plan, or? Is the Warbirds banquet on Friday or Saturday night?

Dan, I guess you're off the hook this time for extra tables and chairs, unless you want to haul them all the way from Minnisoda.

Zack

I believe the Warbird banquet is on Saturday. I say keep it on Thursday as I may be stuck going to a wedding on the other side of the state over the weekend :( That would be the first days of this airshow i'd miss since I was 2 years old!

Paul,

Thanks for the leads! I'll try to get the P-39 invited to one!!!

Mike

I'd put my vote in for Rockford (so i'm a bit biased because its my home show.) But I'm really not sure how it would work for you since it is the last weekend of Oshkosh. :x I'd love to see the P-39, I'd also love to see them bring in even more warbirds. They had a decent amount on static last year which was good though. Hope you can make it!

And Paul, looking forward to seeing you and your T-33 there. With T-33s, the A-4, MiG-21 and Hawk One Sabre (and hopefully MORE...) this year's show could turn out to be a great vintage jet warbird gathering.

When you know, let us know what day you will be arriving and what other jets may be flying in with you.

From what I have read so far it looks like Friday and possibly to a lesser extent Saturday will be the best days to see warbirds, including jets in the air. Not sure how the "Wednesday Vietnam Salute" works into this. Could we expect to see warbirds from that era (A-4, A-1, MiG-21, etc.) flying that day?

Really looking forward to July.

Jim,

Our Waukesha mafia is bringing two T-33s and a T-37. T-33s will likely arrive on Saturday. Will update later on the Tweet.

Sadly I won't be attending Osh 2010, so you all have a good time without me!

And a big thanks to those (you know who you are) who made my visit in 2009 such a blast.

Fly safe everyone.

Sounds Great, Paul. I assume the T-33s arrive Saturday, July 24. Can we expect to see both T-33s in the air on Friday, July 30 and perhaps Saturday, July 31? And maybe the T-37 (and T-33s?) in the Vietnam Era Salute on Wednesday, July 28?

:)

Looks like a night Airshow on Saturday. I hope that includes Matt Younkin in the Twin Beech and maybe even a Wall Of Fire.

I know - I put the link up two days ago on page 2 of this thread, but did not specifically mention Hawk One in my text.

But it is worth repeating - having Hawk One come to Oshkosh is VERY exciting news, and it was the final impetus that pushed me to the decision to finally come to Oshkosh this year. This show is going to be fantastic.

:D

I have it on good authority that there's gonna be some FIRE Saturday night on Runway 18/36! Bring your hotdogs and smores folks - things are gonna get toasty!

Now that is something I don't believe I've ever seen in all the years I've been going to Airventure. (A night show with a wall of fire). This is shaping up to be a great one!
