This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Has anyone seen (in say the last 5-7 years) the Yak causing all of the stir at aafo.com in the last couple of days? If as radically modified as recently described it isn't much (10%?)a Yak anymore but it would be great to see a photo or a first hand description.
Any Arkansas warbird snoopers reading this?

I like the new avatar Steve.
I will have a few short questions for you once you have had a chance to fly the Yak, as I am thinking of one myself......
When are you coming back to NZ next, Warbirds over Wanaka 2006???
Ill have to buy you a few beers.

Mr. Patterson,
I would appreciate an update on the status of Mr. Chinnery's Yak-11 project and recent photos when time permits. Hopefully work is progessing well and a snag free "first flight" will occur soon. Thanks.

The airplane is ready to go, it's the pilots who are holding up the works (typical, my mother would say). The FAA paperwork is all in place, and I believe that Dave Morss is going to do the first flight sometime after I return from England next week. After the test flight card is complete then Dave will give me a checkout.
It's a little tricky, as everyone is getting ready for Reno, but I believe the Yak will fly before the air races.
