The Shady Lady was the only B-25 that I know of which was owned by both J.K. West and John Stokes. That is indeed the Shady Lady's noseart. It was one of five which were on the San Marcos ramp around 1976/1977. It had a very ugly executive interior, as I recall, with shag carpeting.

In the 1976/1977 time frame John had the "Laden Maiden" (former Catch 22 plane, later sold and was in "Hanover Street", now going to a Belgium (?) museum); "Shady Lady"; "Nine George" as we called it due to the "9G" on the tail (which was sold, abandoned in Florida...after a drug run?, bought back by John, then departed for who knows where; the two fire ant bombers from Wheeless Airport that became the "Yellow Rose" and "Maid in the Shade".
