If a replica Avro Arrow can be built, then could a replica B-32 be that much more difficult? Could you "kit bash" other aircraft to make it easier? Maybe I'm the crazy one.

A friend of mine once told me he intends to someday build a full-scale wooden B-29 mock-up. I kind of shook my head and mumbled something about it being doable but not looking very accurate. Well, the troops at Lowry AAF beat him to the punch by sixty-five years. Here is the CFC/procedures trainer that they built to support the B-29 training program.

So....get out to Home Depot and get crackin' on that B-32!

I would love to see a complete B-32 mock up. The NMUSAF could really do some good with one. Also some of the Hughes aircraft like the XF-11

I'm curiously awaiting.....

I'm trying to attach the tail today, so if I am able to figure out a way to do that, AND get it done, I'll start a thread showing the results of this week's project.

While I'd love to restore an airplane, I'd just be satisfied with a car restoration to try...if I had the time. The only thing I've restored are a pair of 1927 Conn Saxophones, one tenor, one baritone. I also have four other saxophones from 1913 - 1926 in original condition. I would routinely play a '25 soprano and the '27 tenor on my jobs.

Hey if someone owns a lumberyard, maybe try building a replica of the spruce goose.

I really think Gary needs to make his latest creation airworthy.
Fame and fortune would follow.

Focke Wulf TA-152 would be pretty cool! Even a D-9 would do it for me.

Spreken ze douche!?

Hi all,

I think I'd be crazy enough to build a Lancaster. One step at a time.

What a fun little project.

But to add something, an old friend of mine who's no longer with us practically did just that with the CMF's Handley Page Hampden. If you've seen the crumpled mess it started out as you'll see it was like building it from scratch.

Hi Pj, I haven't researched into that yet. I still need to take some time and stripper and look for a serial #. I've found lots of #'s , just not the right one. One frame number I found ends in AF. Blue exterior and white interior "screams" Air Force.........Thanks, John
