Do you think the FAA downloads the photo?
I think they just what to “see”a photo I..D. before giving you a new card.
Like the way the state wanted to see my photo I.D., “D.L. or P.P.” before giving me my pistol permit.

I thought the process was both quick and painless. Seems this may be one Govt program that actually works. Does it really help to make us safer ? Well, that part I'm still wondering about.

All this new data sharing is great! Sometimes...
A guy at work has his DL currently suspended and it is about to be revoked here in CA. 31 years ago in PA, he apparently had a ticket that wasn't cleared up. He doesn't remember it. In any case, now that many states are connected, he can't renew his license. He's called PA, and their records don't even show what the offense was (or if it was just a data entry or computer glitch) and they don't know how he can clear this up. Now he has hired an attorney in PA to badger the DMV there. In the mean time he has to carpool with one of his employees.
One of the employees at the CA DMV said they had a customer with a similar incident where the apparent offense happened 45 years ago!
