It might just be me, but isn't it a bit of a coincidence that a number of P-38 'projects' are in the process of changing hands, soon after the PNG Govt has started issuing debt and recovery notices?

I know of at least two groups here in Australia and NZ who have recieved such notices of demand requesting payment for items removed from PNG or the return of same.

I'm not saying I agree one way or the other, just the timing of these actions is what I find interesting.

Were the items in question taken with or without permission? If "with" permission, I'd tell PNG to "take a hike".
If "without" I'd tell them "The check is in the mail".

i guess it depends on who you ask.
If you ask the PNG Govt then everything was taken without permission.
if you ask the owners, they will say its all under permit......... and so the saga continues.

The project now on Courtesy's site has been available for sale for at least 2 years.

IIRC Shell, when the new gov came in, the old ways of doing bidness were changed to suit
them...regardless of what was proper in the past.
