Can anyone tell me the background on that Me 109.Is it the one Harold Kinsvater rebuilt in California? Does it or has it flown?

It is a rebuild of a wartime crash and has an authentic German engine. It is not an HA-1112.

One of my flickr contacts took this when it came in to Paine Field. Not sure if it's flown since though.
