OK -- Here's a shot of Myrtle in May 1978 "somewhere in Northern California" (I have no idea where). I was going to a lot of Air Force Base open houses in those days -- there were a lot of good ones to go to...
And also another shot of Chino smog in 1979 , or 1941....

Neal,
I can almost smell the ,cough- cough, wheese-wheese, dairy in the background. Chino's dairy industry was an important navigational aid. When you decended in the smog and smelled the cows you knew you were close to the airport.

Are you sure thats 1977? Looks more like it is being dis-assembled for storage...
I believe it was obtained from the Navy in flyable condition...maybe not...

One of the engines looks to have been feathered in the photos. Wasn't engine failure one of the reasons the Kermit's ferry flight was aborted?
