What I'm referring to when I was talking about not seeing the difference is the sheer volume of threads that they both start.

The difference with Jack is that he adds content with every photo he puts up. It's always warbird related and it's always interesting content (i.e. it all has something that potentially is of a current warbird or a pilot someone is reading about, etc). He also is a highly respected and well established member of the warbird community outside of WiX and his photographic collection was and is one of the larger and (in my opinion) better ones out there.

In addition, he doesn't start posts that "bait" other users into arguments or try to elicit emotional responses about politically charged subjects like the other member does. He also starts 10-15 threads in a row. Jack may start 10 threads in a day, but they're spread out throughout the day and I never have signed on and found half of the front page consumed by only posts he started. Usually it's only 2 or 3 threads and to me (as a moderator or admin on several other forums) that's more than acceptable. But when someone posts 10 threads in the space of under an hour, in my forums, that's an immediate suspension and repeated offenses is an immediate ban. Why? It's flooding. I think Scott is being EXTREMELY accomodating to not have already suspended or banned him for flooding and trolling. Yes, I put the word up. I think HGUCSU trolls. His few threads that aren't a YouTube link or a link to another site without any explanation as to why that link is a contribution to this site are politically charged and deliberately designed to create conflict, not discussion. That's the definition of trolling.

In all, I think 10% of the links HGUCSU puts up are interesting and pertinent to this particular section of the forum and its content. Jack's posts are about 90% interesting and 100% pertinent to this particular section. If you read the description of this section and that of the Photo Gallery, you'll notice that both allow him to post the pictures he does in both sections. There is nothing banning the posting of pictures of warbirds in this section. In addition, the photo section uses the words "photo rich posts". This implies that the posts contain a sufficient number of pictures to make it a "burden" on those with dialup connections. As of yet, I've not found a Jack Cook thread with 20 or 30 pictures in a single post unless other users are not practicing good reply management and making sure not to re-link the picture in the reply.

Are those really known as disabilities down in Oz? Man, that sounds like 'old age' issues to me! I 'suffer' from most of those 'disabilities' myself, & I'm only 47!

Well JDK until you have disbailites take over your life and stop it i suspect you have no bloody idea what i put up with in a day.

So you know -

Hearing loss
Severe tintitus
Vision issues
Bones issues
Knee problems
and more

Maybe if you have as much pain as i do you might get some idea why I DONT caree on my typing when im dealing with my problems

Well im only a young man and i shouldnt have to deal with these at my age.

If i was say 50 id accept it.

My disabilites limit me from flying, driving, reading, working and other stiuff at times. Alot of this compund and frustrates me.

Ok, so I haven't read all of the shooting back and forth in this thread. I don't want to get too pissed off this early in the morning.

May I suggest that if anyone wants to post single videos it should go in the Base Theater section. It should also include a small description. This is so that if someone wants to find a specific video, they'll be able to find it easier than having to sift through all of the URL garble.

I frequent the "Base Theater" so things do get seen there. If we start posting just about all the videos there, more people wanting to see videos will begin to look there. This will free up space in the regular WIX Hangar. It is annoying when short video clip posts clog up the majority of the first page of the "Hangar." I begin to lose track of interesting posts.

This a repost of what I wrote on Kaigun Fan's post about Don Lopez. No offense meant to Kaigun Fan. But this is I believe he made fourth post on the death of Don Lopez. Since HGUCSU has been making his mostly rubbish posts, noteworthy items have been getting pushed down the WIX slide further and further to the point that if you have 10 minutes to look for posts and/or reply, you can't find the posts. I don't know how to fix it, but I would say that the utility of this site has been compromised by recent activity. No offense is intended to anybody who posted on Don Lopez- I am just illustrating how important or "priority" information gets lost in all this crap going on right now. Ideas?

There's a magical little thing called a search. That is also only the third topic about Lopez's passing. The first one posted was on March 4th. The last reply was on March 5th. Approximately 150 different threads have been replied to or posted since the last time someone replied to that topic. 17 of those threads ar HGUCSU's. 15 are Jack Cooks. Plenty of other people have 4 or 5 in that time span.

HGUCSU hasn't compromised the utility of the site. As time passes and people don't reply to topics, they get pushed further down the page.

Look, there's been WAY too much energy directed at this and a few other posts about some people's posting behavior. I started this particular post, and I regred it, I always regret this kind of sh*t!!! .... it takes away from what we are all here for. But sometimes this HAS to happen for a while so we can all get back on track here. We have ONE fellow that is NOT being RESPECTFUL to ALL of us and that one person is you HGUCSU, no one else here is doing what you're doing. Jack Cook is far and away different in his posting than you are, and that's a fact. If I were posting like you and many members were telling me the difference between Jack's posts and mine .... you can rest assure, I would understand it and stop what I was doing. If you still REALLY need to understand the difference between Jack's posts and yours, I will certainly send you a PM and try to explain it again to you in a respectful way. All I personally ask of you is to use some common sense and good judgement and show respect for the rest of us. You'll be amazed as to how you will be accepted by ALL the members here on WIX if you simply just change your attitude and work with us not AGAINST us. There's better ways to post what's on your mind. No one really wants to see you get booted, a few may rant and rave, me included at times, but that's because we're getting irritated with you and your attitude, I'm sure no one really means to bash you, but you're bringing it on yourself. You look back and you'll see so many times where members have tried to give you advise and RESPECT!!! ... I have tried. Now I'm reading that you are bringing up disabilities you may have, at no time has ANYONE here ever brought up anything directed toward you about disabilities, and that has nothing to do with responsible, RESPECTFUL!! posting behavior.

We have what's called a "CATCH-22" here ... we have members that want this crap to go away and members who simply state to not give you any time at all and members who are pissed at some of us for posting things like this to begin with and some members who actually want this to happen. The bottom line is this. If you can simply work WITH US and NOT AGAINST US ... we will forgive and forget, and then we can ALL move on and have fun again. I want ALL this to go away and go away now.

We got a good thing here, and even though you can never please everyone, we're lucky we have very intellegent members who seem to do a great job of self-governing this site. If we can "reel you in a bit" you watch what happens, you WILL NEVER see posts like this one again.

Keep Jack Cook out your mind and pay attention to you ALONE, you'll see the difference yourself.

HGUCSU, I don't want to see you get booted, If you have no respect for a few others here, then try to respect the one's who are trying to help you along ..... me for one. Sorry I got pissed at you, convince me you can turn things around. Ask advise, I'll be happy to help one last time.
