Hey, ISTR a short lived series in the early '70s, I think, "Spencer's Pilots". That's about all I remember tho, the title.

I saw a few episodes (it was on while I was in college so I didn't see many) and it featured a lot of typical GA aircraft..Cessnas, Cherokees and the like. It was about a FBO and the trouble two of his pilots seemed to find every week.
In one episode they did use the Tallmantz (now Kermit Weeks')
Stinson L-1.

A few more:

The Blue Angels, they found time to fight bad guys in their F-11s in the late 50s. I've never seen an episode, though.

Chopper One, a late 70s or so pre-Blue Thunder cop show with a stock JetRanger. Most cop shows had helicopters back then..like the forgotten 240-Robert (Hughes 500) and Chase (various Bells & Hughes). LAPD Bell 47s would even show up on Adam-12.

The Six Million Dollar Man had a few planes in it...an L-5 (probably Tallmantz) in one episode and one where he joined the Thunderbirds and helped a prince out of a middle east country by hiding him in the nose of their T-38.
Who knew a T-38 could go nonstop to the mid-east?

Anyone remember an early 70s Saturday morning cartoon called Skyhawks...about a Cessna FBO, and a granddad with his Sopwith Camel?

Here's some info on the Skyhawks:
Originally aired September 6, 1969 - September 4, 1971 on ABC-TV
Skyhawks, Inc. was a family-run daredevil air transport rescue service based at San Marcos Field. Widower Mike “Cap” Wilson, the leader of the team, was an Air Force Colonel in World War II. Pappy Wilson, his father, had been a World War I flying ace. In an emergency, the team would save troubled charter planes, rescue helicopter pilots, transport air freight, or run secret government missions. San Marcos Field also was the home base of the Skyhawks' unscrupulous competitor, Buck Devlin and his pilots.

Casey Kasem was the voice of Steve Wilson!

Guess me and Clutch spent too much time in front of the "boob tube".
