I was the engineer on FIFI when we had a severe engine fire, does that count? Multiple engine shutdowns on FIFI and on C-130s.

'Ready4Duty' - in the back & nav seat, but great fun anyway!

) - jumpseat only (:()
Ground runs on:

'Ready4Duty'
T-29B N99380 (USAF S/N 51-5118)
T-29B N150PA (USAF S/N 51-5147)
CL-66C N582P (RCAF S/N 11161) <- danged Canadians put yokes that are 2" shorter than the standard in the CL-66s and the controls are EXTRA HEAVY because of it. Aircraft is now a CV-580F with Aeroproduct props flying for my previous employer. The aircraft came from the RCAF with Ham-Stans on it and started life as a CL-66B with Eland Napiers.
Worked on but didn't do either of the above:
NT-29B N156PA (USAF S/N 51-7912)
T-29B N153PA (USAF S/N 51-7892)

Err..yes.
Flying the RH seat out of Bovingdon, UK, with 'Jeff' Hawke on the film 'Hanover Street'. Just a joy ride.
The general 'popping and banging' on my side on the take off run was bits of the ignition harness and inlet manifold hammering on or through the cowling.

Through shear dumb luck I've been able to fly in Aluminum Overcast twice and Fuddy Duddy once. Although not a warbird, I've flown in EAA's Ford Trimotor numerous times...

In B-17 "Chuckie" we were landing at an airshow in Waco when a fuel line broke/came loose...on number one...nice flash of fire on roll out and the on board extinguishers worked like a charm...I was sitting in the front..never saw a thing...just heard the "FIRE...Get OUT!" order, we all tumbled out on the runway..
