I'll bet most of the car combos you saw were cars that are on their way to Mexico. A large part of the used car sales here in S.E. Texas and Louisiana is based on the used car "exports". Sometimes you'll see 3 or 4 cars each with another in "toe" going down I-10, all headed much further south.

Pisses me off when I get stopped for no front plate, and they let these go with no plate at all, much less insurance.
