Best of luck to you in future endeavors. I also will miss you. You may have noticed I (almost) never post (because I got tired of being 'bashed' - especially when I *knew* I was right, as in, personal experience or facts-in-hand...) But I do read, and enjoy ,many of the discussions. I've learned to 'jump over' the ones that go downhill.

Replace 'organization' with 'individual' in the quote below... I understand.

It is sooo easy to pick out the wannabees and nerds. Ignore them. I joined WIX after being contacted by a guy at an air show who said how much he enjoyed following Gary’s B-24 restoration and he wished that I would do the same with the PBJ restoration. I do it for the folks that can’t join us in the hangar but have the same love for war birds. I get emails and PMs from people all of the time ranting and ragging on the CAF or trying to tell me what’s wrong with things. That comes with the territory. It is hard to ignore them but most of them will never know the joys of what others and I have found in what we do. Hang in there baby!

Don't go John.... you've made many great contributions here, and I've enjoyed our chats very much.

Don't let a few wankers spoil the party for the rest of us. People like that are little people; people of little intelligence and even smaller influence, which is why they bark like they're big dogs, because they're basically very insecure.... really... They are just lonely little sh*tes with nothing but time on their hands and a computer keyboard to make love to.

I respect your decision though, but do hope you'll eventually change your mind.

It would be a shame for you to quit the group. Please don't let the "bad element" ruin it for you. Ignore them. I know that can be tough, but it's what you gotta do. I think the overwhelming sentiment has been for you to stay on with us. Please consider it!

i know this is a poor way to start off on WIX but after lurking for some time I am trying to figure out why Mr. Peters is being portrayed as a victim. i took offense to several of his remarks and he hardly seemed like an inocent bystander that was bullied by a handful of evil doers. he was right in the thick of it. i hate to see any gentlman leave over anything so petty but it seems like it is his own choice, no one is running him off so as I can tell. i hope i haven't burned any bridges on my first post but this is just IMHO.

Feel free to sling personal insults if it makes you feel better but I think most of the folks on this site know exactly the type of person you really are. The people on this site don't owe you or I anything and being nice to someone does not guaranty they will treat you nice in return.

I've only been here a short time and I have noticed a bit of smart **s remarks from a few. It's really too bad too, because I thought we all just enjoyed warbird interaction. I changed my log in name because a few losers had a problem with it, how sad is that? ... But on the other hand, there are so many great folks in here that are very cool and have a wealth of good information. Those people alone keep me here. I have a thin skin for idiots that can't be nice and respectful. And there's a lot of em out there. So I say, stay here with us good folk and say f*** off to the losers.

That pretty much sums it up. I notice on many occasions that if a person has a simple disagreement on this site many of the PC crowd quickly dive for cover (ex. current Belle discussion). I think there is a room for a lot of points of view and I also think that there is a respectful way of representing an opposing point of view. I am not going to pretend to think that you are victim of circumstances and I think that oftentimes you reap what you sew however I think leaving would be a mistake. You have as much right to enjoy yourself here as anyone else so why don't you hang around for a while.
