They did this at the 2006 Chino show.

I recall seeing the Yale of Erics at Fon du Lac a few years ago and it was a great looking airplane. As for what fought in the early years of the war, it was the British, mostly in Hurricanes, some Gladiators, some Spits, and of course the Swordfish that carried the burden. They fought for a year and a half before the US got in the war after Pearl Harbor.

Nice pictures.

For some reason the AT-12 and P-26 look out of place.

Man, I love that AT-12 although I wish they would remove the 17 Pursuit squadron markings as no AT-12's ever served with that squadron. Im just a stinker for authentic markings. :P

I also love that P-26. Any news on those reproduction P-26's being built?

Thanks, Nate. Yeah it was an odd formation. They flew that for the National Anthem. The poor F-86 was having a heck of a time staying slow enough for them. It sure was a unique sound with all of those engine noises intermixed.

I am not sure the source for the markings on the AT-12, but the plane is really well restored.

I haven't heard much about the replica 26s. That would be a cool formation!

Thanks Bill, You should come out to St. Louis and fly it some time. I guess a lot of the early canadian spitfire pilots went through the Yale before the got to the Spitfire. It certainly would have been a challenge to fly with the little amount of training they had before they got into it.

I absolutely love the look of the Curtis Hawk.

What classic lines. Flying art.

Are there any flying examples of the P-36 out there?
