what a disgraceful & ignominious ending to a war grave & ultra significant piece of aviation history!! absolutely pisses me off. i don't know who to blame the usaf museum or the libyans.

I don't think the blame can go on the USAF Museum. You've got to remember who has control of this aircraft...

At least there is something left of it. It makes me sick looking a the pictures but there is a somewhat complete (as in a complete puzzle) airframe there, its better than nothing!

I hope the NASM, if they do get it, makes quick work to get it on display! I'd love to see it displayed as found with Tons of information on the crew and the very sad story that became of them.
