Yes the the same aircraft. Nelson Ezell flying straight down the Crystal Lakes runway. I was standing in the middle. I could see him and he could see me...but it was on telephoto.

There is another Spitfire/Seafire flying with this configuration - the ex Planes of Fame Mk XIX PS890, now resident in France. This was a just sensible use of an available and cheap engine /prop combination and not the production fit.

A further Seafire, a Mk 46, LA564, will in time take to the skies in the UK.
