Hi Merlin--

Yep, two of the TBF shots plus two of the Walrus (and three of Ethiopian AF Firefly 1s) are in at the lab now being scanned to CD. Am picking them up tomorrow. Was offline since Saturday BTW...

My shots are going to be a mite anticlimactic after the carrier-deck views Robbo's posted though! Superb stuff.

Nice shot of the carrier tied up near Bradley's Head in Sydney. If you look carefully at the headland immediately behind the ship you will see the observation tower from the WW1 RAN cruiser, HMAS Sydney....it is still there today...

I see those Avenger shots and am amazed that I own and fly one today 60 years after the 'big event'!

Gentlemen,

The National Archives at College Park, MD have a large selection of Fleet Air Arm photos taken at Brunswick, Maine showing RN Corsairs. They are all air-to-air shots. I made a listing of the photo numbers and will try to locate and post these on this web site.
