Great to hear A-26 Silver Dragon enjoyed a successful test flight today over Santa Fe and will be headed for God's Country North Friday morning.

Sure is nice when a plan comes together. :drink3:

Can't wait to see it again in a few days!

Would be nice to see it fly with the A-20....

Any chance of the F-4s flying during the week - perhaps at the Wednesday evening airshow, as they did last year?

I hope someone thinks ahead and puts together a complete Douglas attack flight. A-20, A-26, A-1, A-4. It would be nice if a SBD could join too, but I'm not sure one is coming.

Thanks! Right now the schedule is calling for a Sabre four-ship and T-33 three or four-ship Monday night at 6:30. Sabre four-ship maybe Wednesday during air show opening and Thursday during jet showcase.

Mighty welcome! Hopefully I'll be able to catch one of those flights, are you flying out of KSBM for those flights?

Monday evening Sabre formation will launch out of Oshkosh. There are plans for a number of jets to fly to Sheboygan for lunch on Wednesday, then return around 2:15 to open the air show (subject to approval/coordination with air boss and air show ops folks). Hoping to do another Sabre four-ship formation at that time. Thursday air show is jet day opening with the F-4s departing Oshkosh.

My Dad and I are starting to head up this afternoon. It will be his first trip to Oshkosh. We'll be stopping in Janesville for Heavy Bombers Weekend tomorrow to get a little preview before finishing the journey. We'll be there through Wednesday.

Thanks for the updates on the jet flying activities, Paul. Looking forward to seeing the Sabres and T-33s in the air!

I don't know, I still see the artwork as being a hole painted in the side of the cowl, with the threaded-end of a bolt sticking out, with a nut still on (but toward the end of the bolt) and another nut already fallen off.

One very sharp looking Mustang - I really like the overall finish. Photos by Mike Ligosh (https://warbirdwatcher.com/tag/north-american/) I am a bit surprised that the anti-glare shield black paint wasn't carried over the coolant access panel as, as it would have been originally (in period photos of the aircraft, you can see that the access panel would have/was painted when fresh/new, but the access panel became heavily chipped over time, with just remnants of the black paint remaining).

looks right on minus the white fill. Should be just the black outline only. ........ but minus my OCD ..... fantastic looking machine. A real winner.

Does anyone have a schedule for when the active service military static aircraft will arrive?

No joke! The Hawaii Mars just (4:29 Central) flew over the backyard! Looks like she's headed towards La Crosse, WI.

Keep your eyes peeled cheeseheads.
