I went to TOM a few years ago when they had both airworhty Liberators and 4 Fortresses. It was a great show, but I was really disappointed that they didn't get the heavies into a formation. There wasn't a real oppertunity to get both Liberators in the air in the same shot. (Maybe my expectations were set too high by this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfMWxR1B-Nw). I'm really hoping that this year, they will make an effort to form up the heavies.

This was about the best shot I got of the two Liberators. It was one great show, like they all are at Thunder.

We did a formation with both Libs...took alot of hoop jumping but we got it done. The 17's did a spectacular 4 ship with a missing man finale, I don't think there was a dry eye on the ground.

Couple new static additions that Kevin posted on the Facebook page. 2 F-16 Vipers from the 187th FW of the Alabama Air Guard (which was formerly the 100th FW and unit of the Tuskegee Airmen) as well as 2 F-16 Vipers from the 177th FW "Jersey Devils".

Steve:

One of the Alabama F-16's has nose and tail art reflecting a B-17 that flew in WW II.

More info as it becomes available.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

Looks like the C-47 "Southern Cross" is confirmed for the show.

North American Aviation P-51D Mustang "American Beauty" owned by Chuck Greenhill, that is coming to the show, has been repainted as "LOU IV".

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.
