I believe peelie is referring to Thunder Over Utah. The same group that organizes ToM is going to be organizing a show in St. George, Utah. It will be held on March 17-18 2012 and feature the Blue Angels and a large number of warbird performances.

Back on topic, I can't wait for this show. I got a nice preview of some Corsair action this weekend and can't wait to see the F4U-5 in the air with SEVEN other Corsairs. Ever since the TBM gathering I've been hoping for another Navy theme. This is going to be one to remember.

Kevin and I have already been looking at a couple of theme ideas for next year, and the theme we are leaning towards should really create a good amount of buzz in the air show community if we decide to go with it.

All,

We will be holding our annual THUNDER OVER MICHIGAN Air & Ground Parade again this year on Friday, July 22nd at 6:30 pm in Downtown Belleville, MI. (the parade will include the military vehicles, reenactors and some of the aircraft).

Once the parade is finished all the military vehicles will be on static display along with the four LVT's at Horizon Park (all four LVT's will also be preforming a demonstration on Belleville Lake at the conclusion of the static display). 8)

From the Thunder Over Michigan Facebook page:

"Added for Static Display:
MH-60S Seahawk from HSC-2 (Centennial Paint
Scheme)
TC-12B Huron (Centennial Paint Scheme)
A second F-5N Tiger II from
VFC-13
A second MV-22 Osprey from VMMT-204

Added for Flying
Display:
B-2A ‘Spirit’ (Saturday Only)"

And "more" news will be coming. What a show in ONE month!

The Curtiss Pusher is currently in Akron, OH in the old Goodyear Corsair assembly building, waiting for good enough weather to finish the trip to Willow Run, which we hope to do tomorrow.

We try to arrive early at shows if possible since we're so limited by wind and weather that if we wait until a week before it could be hard to make it. Getting over the Alleghenies was a bit of a worry but went OK, with one 51 mile leg taking 1 hour 20 minutes. By the time we got to Akron the wind and weather was too bad to continue, and predicted to be bad for days, so left it there and went home.

We're hoping to get an early start tomorrow (Sunday) morning, you can follow on SPOT from a link on the web site http://elycurtisspusher.com/

Just walked in the door 33 hours after walking out, 1,250 miles of travel, mostly taking turns driving, a little flying, 4 hours of sleep, and the Curtiss got moved the last 150 miles to Willow Run. Bob and I are happy, but wondering if we need to re-work our definition of "fun".

Got to meet Kevin and Michael and some of the other YAM/Thunder guys, and we're looking forward to the show-

I did the in between leg from Norwalk, OH to Toledo. And now sleep time.
