Little bit late on these, but three weeks ago I saw a Merlin flying along the DC Beltway from American Legion Bridge towards Tysons. Figured it was one of the ones up at Pax River for the new POTUS helo program out for a spin and some flybys.

Then two weeks ago I saw one of the Saudi airways 747-SPs land at Dulles. Actually saw it from a distance over the Reston area, thought "that doesn't look quite right" (have never seen an -SP up close before, but see 747-400s all the time) and managed to beat feet over to NASM Udvar-Hazy to watch it come in.

Saw Rod Lewis' new Bearcat fly 3 times today. Last flew (and crashed) in about 1967.

Yesterday (4/16) dark sea blue T-28 landed, taxied, then took off again at Mount Comfort around noon. Is this someone on the WIX?

A pair of Sikorsky Black Hawks, (looked pretty black too in the late afternoon sun!). Not flying, but a friend had his newly restored PT-13D out taxiing (in an 18 knot crosswind) today.

I see Blackhawks, Seahawks and other Sikorsky stuff everyday other over my house. The factory test flight profile makes a turn over my area.
Use to see the occasional Seasprite, but alas, no more.

Collings Foundation B-24 flying over alone at around 5000'. Looked like it was just passing through.

:D A big bonus you receiving when you volunteer at Yankee Air Museum. Getting to watching the B17 taking off at Willow Run Airport April 18, 2009.

I saw many warbirds fly over today, guess heading to the West Houston Open House, first was a T-6 and SB2C which I was in heaven seeing the new paint, then I saw a Tora Zero head west as well, and then 3 CJ-6s flew over one letting out smoke, so I had a great Sun and too bad I was flooded in I would have gone to the Open House.

I saw B-25H "Barbie III" floating around Deer Valley airport yesterday (Saturday 4-18) morning. Not sure if she was headed somewhere or just out for a local flight. Looked great out on the ramp as usual!

A light gray or flat white AT-6 heading roughly westward from N. Houston towards Austin. I heard the radial first, even over a tractor engine but it was past me before I could get a good look. My co-worker wondered what i was doing when I went out from under the shed looking around. "Where is it" I asked. "Where's what?" he replied.

Heard Mustang 88 (CF-18) call ready for take-off at Kelowna (CYLW), so I turned to look, as I live under the departure path and can see the whole runway from one of my windows. No sooner did he break ground, he tucked up the gear, rolled inverted, then vertical climbed to 13,000 ft.

I saw on the 19/4 at our little airshow a Avenger.
Wow those things are big!
He took off and did a few low flypasts. Certainly not a nimble or fast plane!! But the throbbing noise from the engine on take off is amazing.

When I drove up to the hangar today a Stearman landed. As I was taxiing out to the runup pad the B-25 was on his takeoff roll. A T-6 and PT-19 were in the pattern and I saw an SNJ while I was out in the practice area. Also saw a C-47 that's being refurbished west of T-Town, a partial B-25 airframe that I didn't know about, and the majority of Flagship Tulsa awaiting restoration.
