I couldn't tell exactly which one, but a B-17 in what looked like olive drab just flew over LAX.
She was headed in a northwesterly direction, and couldn't have been much over 1500 feet.
I didn't get a really good look due to the marine layer, and setting sun- sorry.

What a sweeet sound!!!

Saw a P-3 orbiting TYS here in Knoxville on the 29th. By the time I got to the airport though, it was nowhere to be seen. In the meantime though, three T-45C's came in and landed at TAC AIR.

It was probably the "Movie Memphis Belle." It was flying out of Long Beach yesterday and will be flying out of Burbank next weekend.

saw what looked like a Stearman climbing out from Greenville downtown airport in South Carolina. I haven't seen it around before but it sure sounded great.

Might be this one. I met saw it at a fly-in at the Western North Carolina Aviation Museum in Hendersonville last summer. Pilot said he was from Greeneville.

Group of three CH-46 Sea Knights flew over my house Thursday afternoon on their way to Tri-Cities Airport (KTRI) in Blountville, TN. Managed to get one decent shot of the Tail-End Charlie.

Indeed. I did a bit of research on FlightAware, and found she had flown into Gillispie last week, then connected the dots.
Thank you for confirming though. She makes the third B-17 I have seen airborne.

Is it me or is Burbank quite the hot spot this past week- FiFi and friends last week, and movie 'Belle this week. WOW!!!

That's an H-46 SeaKnight.
