We have just added a 2nd aircraft to do a two ship acro demo with Dale in the mustang on the Sunday of the show. We are going to keep it as a suprise, but I'm sure some of you know what it might be. (This is just to give you a heads up, not to miss Sunday)

Becouse so many have asked who the other aircraft/pilot is. Vlado and Dale will be flying a two ship mustang acro on Sunday only.

Sweet! I just have been watching the "Four Horsemen" videos and hope to meet Vlado at the show!

Can't tell you how excited I am about this weekend. My Motown experiences have mostly been based on auto racing. Thanks to T33 Driver!

To bad more of the West Coast boys and their 25's arent gonna show. Then again, thats a heck of a flight from California to Michigan. Its would be good to see Super Rabbit, Sunday Punch, Executive Sweet, Photo Fanny...

I'm coming Sunday with the family this year as we drive back from
my wife's family in philly. We'll use saturday for travel
unfortunately, but will spend sat evening in the holiday inn express..
(they still had a couple rooms last week!)

Will folks do a repeat get together for picture shows sat evening in the
holiday inn express lobby (well) after dinner? We should be there
later on.. that was fun to see everyone.

Also, if anyone happened to know of an extra photopass for sunday
morning I'd be really thankful to buy it. I missed getting mine in as I saw
the announcement it closed the evening I finally got the OK from
the home control tower to divert for an extra day.. otherwise I'll
be watching you folks shooting from the nice angles getting all those
spectacular shots ...

I posted in the sticky thread in the gatherings section that the WIX gathering rally point will be the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express (on the north service road near Willow Run) on Friday at 7 PM. Dinner at the Lone Star? They seemed to be able to accomodate us well last year (15+ people).

Catherine and I will be there. Eric and Berni, and Bill and Sanna. So most of the founding members of the "Wives of WIX" will be in attendance.

Elroy, I think I remember you. You were sitting in front of Thunderbird at the end of the day, and i ended coming up to you (being the typical airshow attendee) and started asking you alot of annoying questions like "Why is the glass nose different on this B-17?" "Why don’t you exchange it for an original looking one?" and so on.

Of course, now I know why it hasn’t been exchanged!
I also might have been trying to get a sneak peek into the B-17.

I think we were also talking about the F8F and other warbird related things.

Anything ringing a bell? Or did I just imagine it? Cant tell anymore!
