A T-1A Jayhawk from Vance AFB is confirmed.

Maybe the Squadron will consider bringing one of the grey painted birds!

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

I've just recently learned that I've been selected for the Thunderbird B-17 crew for this event. I'm excited because I may get to meet some of my uncle's sqn mates and possibly his surviving crew mates from the 840th sqn 483rd BG of the 15th in Italy.

Next biggie question. Some of us on this forum will be crewing aircraft or working the show. Many more will be spectating. Anybody have any suggestions for a spot for WIXers to meet? What about starting a thread listing who will be where?

Doug .

I think you will be able to find most WIX'ers at the photo pit. It's going to be my first year. It amazing I bet most of the photo pit passes go to people from WIX!! :o

Photo pit is by pass only isn't it? If so, I can always stand at the gate and yell "Hey WIXer!"
I'll be in Lone Star blue and gold or in a B-17 shirt. All my shirts will have my local sqn patch on the left sleeve. "The Moo Crew" with a frowning Holstein in a Snoopy & goggles. Some of them may have my sqn call sign of "Ratch", that's also a nickname that many people call me and a username from another av. forum.

blue skies till then

If you are at the Aircraft most of us will be passing by and will say hello! I think we all have a way of finding each other. If you come with an a/c believe be, you will be found. :axe:
