Dusters & Sprayers Supply in Chickasha, Oklahoma (http://www.dustersandsprayers.com/main.html) sell anodized cowlings for the Stearman. Some of them are pretty good sized and the anodizing is beautiful. They may have a line on where you can get anodized aluminum sheet.

I just realized I have a photo of the CAF Wildcat from 1981 or 82.

DLSheley, it looks like you might have scared up a bunch of great old airshow photos, I saw the one you added to the 'Raiders thread too. So just in case to take requests, I make a motion you post all of 'em! :)

Sadly, that's all I really have. There are a couple more of Texas Raiders.

Had a visit from Greg Shelton last week. We built a new fuel strainer fairing and fitted it for him. We then of course had to go test it out.

We need someone here to update where all the Wildcats are now so Scott can update the registry including the ones highlighted in this thread. Several/numerous of the airframes have changed hands over the past several years so an update would nice.

What is the status of the ex-CAF Wildcat? There are those back east that would like to know how that one is coming along. More then a few busted knuckles and sweat poured into her.

Wow, that's pretty cool. I never knew about this place. I was training for my private at Chickasha's Airport (KCHK) untill October of 2011. :drink3:

How come you do not see many of the FM-2's around these days with the bomber window?

Thanks,

S.

That is an F4F. I don't think the FM-2s had that window...
