[quote="spookythecat"]First time i've ever seen the T-28 formation group do this.

Looked like the Beech arrival, with smoke. Some of the formation looks good, other parts look like a same direction, same day formation

Fantastic photos everyone, keep posting!
As I say every year, maybe next year I will finally get there.
Been to a lot of airshows in the northeast and to Sun'n Fun a couple times, but still haven't made the trek to Oshkosh..always something going on!

What's the story on the checkertail P-40. I am not aware of that one.

John, the checkertail P-40E is owned by Ron Fagen, and is the same P-40 that was at one time painted as "Shirley II". It underwent what I'd imagine was a complete rebuild in order to get it to the same standard of quality as Fagen's P-40K, with an amazing level of authenticity throughout, as part of his Warhawk's Inc. line of restoration projects.

Thank you everyone for sharing photos thus far in the week, I'm always looking forward to more! I would especially like to see some photo-essays of Taylor's L-5 and Bob Baker's "Little Rebel", incase I can't make it this weekend.

Thanks for the great pics, everyone. I've been "watching" the action via the "blue dot cam", AvWeb's webcam, Twitter, and various blog posts. Maybe next year...

Just a reminder for those here at Oshkosh - the annual WIX gathering is Thursday night (July 30) at 6pm, last house on the left as you leave the convention grounds on Waukau Ave (the street running west from the FAA tower). Look for the "Welcome WIXers" banner in the yard.

Hope to see you here!

And as for the last one, I finally got something to work with my night photography. It's really been a frustrating learning experience going from my point'n'shoot to my new DSLR. I hope to get more shots like this over the next few nights.

Ha Ha Ha! I don't think much would be left after that aeroplane had been "De-Diemertized".
I had been shown a bunch of photos of after it "arrived" from Canada. Truly, truly scary!!
Maybe Hang the Expense would like to fill in the story...
