Whew. I feel much better now that you approve. I don't want to keep disappointing you, even after my tenure with the CAF.

Today's sighting: The Collings Foundation's lovely UH-1E whirly-bird arriving at the VFM museum-plex. She's staying with us for a couple of weeks until the Cowtown Warbird Roundup. Nice to have her!

Cheers,

Wings of Freedom is at Love field this week. When the wind is from the north the B-17 flies right over my house. Two flights yesterday afternoon for it and one flight for the B-24. The B-24 used the left runway and the trees made it hard to photograph.

I seem to remember that it used the longer runway a lot of times last year too (not every time though). Does it need it?

With the CAF B-24 at Cavanaugh, it sure would be nice to get them to pose together.

Flyover on opening day at the Ballpark...Texas Rangers

I picked a spot to try and catch the B-1. I was listening on the radio and heard the National Anthem..I knew he had to be close...

Then over the buildings came the bird....

But there were TWO! :D

Zane a hate you! :D  Cools pics love the B-1. I always kinda look at it as the new aged B-58. Seeing how I'll never see a B-58 fly. :(

First photo was taken with your iPhone?

It always melts the props on aircraft.., it certainly is a sure fire way to spot an iPhone photo!!

I don't know for sure that the first one was with an iphone, but I know that the guy taking it did take it with his phone. We had a flight of 2 T-6s (thanks to a fellow WIX-er's dad!); I was in the yellow one, a friend was in the silver one. I took photos of him with a point and shoot digital, and he took shots of me with his phone. He wasn't expecting to go for a ride, I just sprung it on him about 3 minutes before takeoff.

Today's sighting:

While heading back to the office from lunch, I spotted a Sikorsky S-58T heavy-lift 'copter "rotoring" along eastbound over northeast Dallas. It appeared to be blue in colour, which means that it might have been N4XY of 5-State Helicopters in Rockwall, TX. I've seen that ship around here many times before.

Cheers!
