Great film clips!

Is there any footage out there of the official speeches, and anything featuring the B-25 veterans, the USS Hornet veterans and the Chinese rescuers?

Something that I wondered about when hearing the Warbird Radio broadcast of this, just after the flypast there were sirens going and emergency services vehicles were obviously speeding out of the base. Matt Jolley said that it was not connected with the aeroplanes but was on the road outside the base. Was this a car accident caused by drivers distracted by the flypast? Does anyone know?

That airfield is a really nice looking place, it's great o see it after imagining it through the Warbird Radio broadcasts. At least the National Museum of the USAF has had the good sense to retain an active airfield next to their museum, unlike here in NZ where Wigram's airfield has been cut up for houses.

airliners.net has some great pics from the reunion. The first one will become a favorite as wallpaper. Enjoy.

For anyone that may not have heard, Phyllis Thaxter, the actress who portrayed Ellen Lawson in the film "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo," passed away last week at the age of 92.
