Seriously, I was just watching actual video of our Marines in a difficult fight in Iraq, including sniper victims. It was pretty grim; so it was good to look on the site and find the humor in the "crack" reply by Dan. The photo by Django is great, I'd like to get one of those. What kind of plane is it?

It's a P-38 with the recce nose. If you look close you'll see that it is pretty beat up, maybe scrap.

Regarding the P-38 nose art - looking at the style - could this be the same artist who painted the Dragon and his Tail B-24?

The 25th Photo Recon was on Okinowa, and Dragon was on Ie Shima. Pretty close proximity, but is it close enough?
