Warbird Information Exchange

She is on display at Udvar-Hazy. I saw her a few months ago there. The wings are off and the fuselage is resting on a cradle. She is not assembled, no doubt, due to lack of space.

I couldn't find a good map identifying the various buildings at Silver Hill, but the Smithsonian Institution Archives have a series of old black and white photographs of exterior views of the Silver Hill Facility that show the building numbers on the outside. So about year ago I used them to geolocate each building and update OpenStreetMap accordingly to create a map. It's not perfect - there were some buildings I wasn't able to conclusively identify - but it shows most of the big ones:

As for other interior views, there's also a "virtual tour" and set of shots from the same black and white series mentioned above.

I once had a tour of Garber buildings 15 through 19. This is where the old cars are stored, with man other things. One of the buildings (15?) contains an amazingly large collection of pianos.

Took the Garber facility tour when I was a teenager around 1982. It was amazing. Building after building of stored planes. The Enola Gay and Swoose were the highlight for me.
